Macular Degeneration (MD) is the leading cause of blindness in Australia. Approximately 125,000 Victorians are blind or vision impaired from serious eye conditions including Macular Degeneration. MD affects one in seven Australians over the age of 50 and one in three over 75. The Macular Degeneration Foundation has joined forces with Vision 2020 Australia to provide an opportunity for Victorians to attend a free community education session to raise awareness about this important health issue.
